Kent Sportshall Athletics trials

On Sunday 14th January Julian, Seb and Poppy A attended trials for the Kent Sportshall Athletics Trials at the Stour centre in Ashford.

The event is attended by approximately 150 children from around Kent, mostly children who train outside of school at Athletics clubs.

The children all took part in 10 track and field activities where they were times and measured. I was on Balance timing duty but did manage to catch some of the other events. The children sowed great skill and determination and were fantastic ambassadors for our school.

One of the entrants from Benenden - Harry Lau - won the Gold medal for the boys and has been selected for the Kent team who begin their training this weekend.
