Hippo Class this week
This week we have continued our learning on castles and knights. The class really engaged with the story ‘The castle the king built’ and have really impressed me with their writing as they develop their independence. In child initiated time a group of children built an impressive castle out on blocks and cones, making battlements, a drawbridge, towers and a moat with chalk. They then had a wonderful time in their imaginative play, pretending to be kings, queens and knights, protecting the castle from attack. They did this independently, using their knowledge of castles.
