Fractions, fractions and more fractions.

This week we have consolidated our understanding of fractions by using Numicon to convert mixed numbers to improper fractions.  The children were so confident, they wanted to challenge each other.  So we took our learning outside and gave each other challenges to solve.  Their work prompted much discussion at break time, when the rest of the school wondered why their playground was covered in fractions!
