Day trip to Rye Harbour
Zebras class had a wonderful school trip to Rye Harbour and their new visitor centre.
We walked down to the beach and spent some time paddling in the sea and seeing what different things we could find on the beach, from different types of rock to crabs. We then used our beach treasure to create Andy Goldsworthy inspired beach art, remembering what we had learned in our previous art lessons.
After lunch, we explored one of the bird-watching huts, using binoculars to identify different types of birds and looking at the different features they have, which make them specially adapted to their habitats. We rounded off the day with an ice lolly too!
A huge thank you to the Visitor Centre at Rye for such an amazing day out in the sunshine at the beach.
