Charcoal, fairy fires & fun

This week we used the technique of pyrolysis to create our very own charcoal from willow harvested from the school's willow den in the playground! Then there was plenty of time to draw using our freshly created charcoal sticks.
There was also a chance to make some fairy fires so that we could practise our fire-striking skills.
