Barrows of Fun

Amongst the weekly mix of child-led mix of fun and games there was bark writing, fungi finding, happy families, nest building, running a horse stables, bug house building, log balancing and plenty of adventure.

The children also continued with the bunting for our new kitchen area using the art of Hapa Zome (leaf dye in Japanese)
With the arrival of a fresh pile of wood chip, Brimstones & Orange Tips were also very keen to help carpet the path & ‘rainy day’ seating area in preparation for the winter months.
They were fascinated by the heat & steam created by the slowly decomposing wood chip and this promoted some brilliant scientific conversation.
More than once we heard the the words ‘“Jobs are so much fun!”……remind them of that when they need to tidy their rooms/empty the dishwasher.

Barrows of Fun

The children loved helping prepare the woodland path & rainy day area for the colder weather by carpeting the corundum with a layer of wood chip. ￿Jobs are so much fun￿￿you heard it
