Mrs A SmajlajReception Class Teacher
Mrs A Smajlaj
Hello, my name is Amy Smajlaj (pronounced Smilay) and I am the reception class teacher at Goudhurst and Kilndown Primary School. This is my first year teaching primary and I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of The 10:10 Primary Federation.
Prior to completing my PGCE and QTS with Teach Kent and Sussex, I worked in early years settings with babies, toddlers and preschoolers. In 2013 I achieved my BA hons degree in Early Years Education, and whilst being a deputy manager of a preschool in Tunbridge Wells, I completed my early years teacher training gaining Early Years Teacher Status. I have always been passionate about early years and recognise how important high quality early years education is to lay secure foundations for future success. Which is why I am over the moon to be teaching reception! My past experience means I know where the children have come from in their learning journey, and due to my recent training in KS1 and KS2 I know where they will be going onto.As a teacher I enjoy getting to know the children as individuals, working with their families, enjoying their successes and supporting them to learn and grow. I couldn't be more excited for the year ahead! -
