Welcome to Key Stage 1!
In Year 1 we take the first steps from the Early Years curriculum to the ever-so-slightly more formal National Curriculum. The learning in Key Stage 1 is more teacher led than in Reception, but we don't forget about the benefits of holistic, play-based learning, and so our timetable involves a healthy mix of both, including a lot of time outdoors on the grounds and in our outdoor learning area.
