Acting Headteacher's Welcome

On behalf of our pupils, staff and governors, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Goudhurst & Kilndown Church of England School. 

We are at the heart of our community of beautiful Wealden villages of Goudhurst and Kilndown in Kent and have seven classes of 30 children aged 4-11 years.  Our school is a caring, happy place and we know this comes from our Christian values as a Church of England school which underpin everything we do - we are very proud of our school. We are an inclusive school and welcome children of all abilities, backgrounds and faiths.  We work hard to build a partnership with all our parents and keep in mind the child’s well-being and progress in their education, in everything we do, with our aim that every child will fulfil their potential. 

In our recent OFSTED Inspection (February 2025) we were judged to be “Outstanding” in every area of the inspection framework and we are very proud of this achievement. In 2025, our outcomes at the end of Key Stage 2 were in the top ten percent of schools, with 80% of pupils in Year 6 achieving the expected standard, or above, in all of Reading, Writing and Maths.
