Village Fete

Submitted by headteacher on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 - 21:56

On 11th June 2016, to commemorate the Queen's 90th Birthday the annual village Fete was held on the Glebe Field and what a truly British affair it was! I received this email from Anthony Richards:

Dear Lindsay,

We were all so pleased to see the school children on parade at the Fete and to hear their marvellous singing. A great deal of hard work had obviously gone into the performance and please pass on out thanks to all those involved.

The Maypole dancing was also well received by everybody. " Good to see some traditional dancing" was heard in more than one place.

Then there was the Tug of War between the children and the grown ups, which was a hoot.

Goudhurst can be proud that it put on a Fete which was really inclusive for all who attended and I do thank you for the part you played in that.

with kind regards
