It's impossible to believe that this is the last week of the children's time in Hippos class. What an incredible year it has been. It is has been an utter dream teaching your little souls, such a lovely lovely group of children, it has been nothing less than a pleasure for both Mrs Coleman and I. We'd both like to sincerely thank you for your support over the last year, you have been wonderful. We will miss you all very much - I can only hope I will come across you all again perhaps teaching another year group after my Maternity leave.
Last week the children had a packed week what with jump-up afternoon (Miss Wilford loved meeting the children) sports day and open afternoon. We also started our week with our buddy day at Bedgebury where the children had a phenomenal time wishing their buddies well in their future ventures. It was incredibly hot and the children managed well (certainly better than I did!) Thank you to Mrs Cunningham, Mrs Piper, and Mrs Caronna for helping us on the trip.
This week we are equally busy - on Monday afternoon we will be watching the KS2 performance. On Tuesday we have Bastille day (you will have all been emailed a letter about this) On Wednesday morning we have a celebration assembly at St Mary's church. On Thursday morning we have the bouncy castle for 'super silvers' and 100% attendance. And on Friday morning we have the Year 6 leavers assembly. In between all of this the children will still have their child initiated time in order to let off some steam, as well as some other creative activities. We will also filter out the children's belongings bit by bit through out the work - this will include PE kits, art work etc. This year we are not sending the children's work books home until some time after they have started in year 1.
That's it....farewell for now and have a happy happy holiday.
Ms Lane and Mrs Coleman
