1. Firstly, may I say a big well done to all the Year 6 for successfully completing their SATs.  They were truly composed and professional throughout and they should be rightly proud of themself.    SATs results will be published in July - I will notify you exactly when, nearer the time.

2.  STOP PRESS:  KS2 Performance Auditions.    Rather than doing auditions at Hardelot, I have decided to bring them forward to do this Wednesday.  This will then allow children the whole of half term to start learning lines (their homework!).

I will therefore give children their 'part' request slip on Monday to be handed in on Tuesday.  We will then conduct auditions for the whole of Wednesday morning.  I will then gather the Y6 team to decide the cast bearing in mind 3 main criteria:

  • Performance at audition.
  • Suitability for specific role/willingness & ability to learn lines
  • Requested preferred roles.

The cast will be announced on Friday.  Please bear in mind, that it is always difficult to give everybody what they want and undoubtedly there will be those that may be disappointed - I will do my best!  Needless to say, everybody will be involved and have a speaking part (some more than one). 

3.  Fete stalls - still lots of parents needed for the stalls at the Fete.  Sign up sheet is on my door.

4.  Photos - Class photos will be taken on Thursday this week.   Please can all children be well turned out/presented - thanks :)

Maths

Mr Hardman has created a themed Maths project which will take place for the whole of next week.  I won't steal his thunder, but Mr Hardman will reveal all next week.

English

We will complete our Year 6 writing folders with a Tudor themed Biography.

PE

We will be learning sprinting and relay skills.

Art

Complete Tudor colour portraits.

DT

We will try and start our Tudor House project - planning phase.

Drama

KS2 Performance title and script will be released on Friday

Homework

Learning lines for parts in the KS2 Performance.
