Maths Open Morning - This Wednesday 18 October. The school will be 'open' for parents/guardians to come and be involved with a normal Maths lessons with Mrs Pilbeam, Mrs Herbert and I. Parents are also invited to come to our collective worship afterwards from 1015-1035 too. Sign up on the clipboard at the school office.
Timestable Rockstars - children now have a login to access this at home and at school. If you can, please do let them download the free app (Android and Apple) or access from a PC/Mac.
Friday afternoon - children will be their Buddies for Buddy Magician afternoon.
Mrs Stanford will start the week by taking percentages learning outside.
On Wednesday, we will have our Maths Open Morning - please do come in and see our Maths in action. It looks like we will be looking a percentages.
Children will also complete a full set of arithmetic, problem solving and reasoning assessments.
Children completed their Big Write about 'The Ridge' - I will be posting a special video on the blog early next week - do take a look.
Again, we will be complete full assessments in Reading and Grammar/Punctuation and Spelling.
Having created a series of circuits last week, children will be writing up their investigations and looking ahead to planning a new special project.
Mrs Stanford will be moving ahead with our 'Understanding Christianity' modules - tbc
We will start writing our letters to our twin school. This didn't happen last week, but we will do so this week.
Lesson 3 - creating chords.
Chichen Itza landscapes are complete and on display in the cloakroom area. This week we have 2 special guests joining Year 6 on Thursday morning: Matt Syms and Bethan Minter, from the Assembly Rooms Tunbridge Wells, will be running a special illustration workshop with the children.
1. Reading - continue with at least 4 times a week.

3. Learning Journal - Linked with our Science. How do burglar alarms work? Could you make your own using electrical circuit equipment that we have in school (and other basic materials) using your knowledge of electricity, especially conductivity. Create a one page learning brief.
4. Spellings - list 6: Some tricky ones this week. Tested on Friday Quizlet link. https://quizlet.com/_2zpfnv
