Events this week:

Monday: We will have a visit from the dentist at 2pm

Tuesday: European Day of Languages. We will be learning some German words and phrases to celebrate the day

Wednesday: Forest School

 

Maths

This week we will be learning about:

subtracting 4 digit numbers, regrouping when necessary

subtracting with multiple regroupings

problem solving with subtraction

subtraction with numbers with zeros

solving word problems - addition and subtraction

English

This week we will be:

Using noun phrases to describe a character

describing a character using action and detail

practicing comprehension skills - skimming and scanning to find key words

Writing complex sentences using conjunctions

GPS

This week we will be learning:

how and when to use the prefix 'un'

how  and when to use . ! ? and ,

How and when to use the apostrophe (for omission of letters)

Practicing how to use inverted commas

Science

We will be thinking about Static Electricity is and understanding what the words positive, negative and electrons mean.

RE

We will be learning about the story of Noah's Ark

Forest School

Forest School is on a Wednesday

PE

This term we will be taking part in Netball, Football and Cross Country

Music

This term we will begin learning how to play the Ukelele.
