Events this week:

Thursday: On Thursday, we will have a storyteller come in to give us an exciting view into the world of oral storytelling. Any donations of £1 would be greatly appreciated.




This week, we will be learning how to

find equivalent fractions

compare fractions

add fractions

subtract fraactions



This week we will be learning:

apostrophes for contraction (can't don't you'll etc.)

nouns and pronouns

suffixes - ed, ing, s and es.

and completing our final round of our class spelling bee.



We will be learning about the story of Pentacost.


This term we will be creating our own games, and doing cricket


Homework: Given out on Wednesday 25th April, returned Monday 30th April:  

Maths:  Section 2,  Test 10

Topic: How many ways can you represent (show) a fraction? Think about how they can be written, said, displayed etc.

Spellings: Week 10 list.


We will be using charcoal to sketch self-portraits, we will compare these with how Ancient Egyptians drew themselves.


We will be reading a French version of the story 'Little Red Riding Hood' and children will be matching pictures to the vocabulary in the story.


We will be learning the song 'Bringing us together'

History and Geography

This week, we'll be discovering facts about the Ancient Egyptians and understanding a timeline of the main events of the period. 

We will also be finding out about the location of Egypt.


We will be practicing our typing skills, and creating a script for an advert for a radio broadcast.


We will be finding out about the discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb by Howard Carter.

We will be imgining the event and writing 1st person accounts from Howard Carter's point of view.

We will proofread our work and editing it to make it better.
