Events this week:

Monday: Individual and sibling photos in the morning

Tuesday: Harvest food collection 

donations of tinned food can be given in to the classroom or in the school foyer

Wednesday: Forest School and Harvest Festival

Any parents who would like to walk with us to the church please let Mrs Wyatt know. We will be leaving for the church at around 1:40pm.



This week we will be learning about:

What the meaning of the word 'sum' is

Adding with regrouping in the hundreds column

Adding and regrouping with ones, tens and hundreds

Problem solving with addition

The meaning of the word 'difference'

subtracting with numbers up to 9999


This week we will be:

adding inverted commas to mark direct speech

practicing comprehension skills - skimming and scanning to find key words

planning a dialogue within a narrative

writing a narrative, including dialogue


This week we will be learning:

how and when to use the prefix 'un'

how  and when to use . ! ? and ,

How and when to use the apostrophe (for omission of letters)


This week we will be watching and taking part in different demonstrations and thinking about what electricity is.


We will be learning about the story of Noah's Ark

Forest School

Forest School is on a Wednesday


We will be using watercolour techniques and learning about perspective to create harvest pictures


This term we will be taking part in Netball, Football and Cross Country


This term we will begin learning how to play the Ukelele.


Homework: Given out on Wednesday 20th September, returned Monday 25th September:
