 Tuesday: Swimming 

Friday: English open morning. Parents, please come along to school and have a look in our classrooms at all the fabulous English learning we're doing. (9:15-10:15)




This week we will be learning about:

adding and subtracting with measures

problem solving using measures

solving word problems using length, mass and volume - one step word problems

solving word problems using length, mass and volume - two step word problems


This week we will be learning:

about homophones

apostrophes for contraction (can't don't you'll etc.)


We will be learning about the Easter story and thinking about Mary's feelings throughout Holy Week.


This term we will be doing swimming on a Tuesday afternoon, and cricket.


Homework: Given out on Wednesday 14th March, returned Monday 19th March:  

Maths:  Section 2,  Test 7

Topic: Draw a diagram of the water cycle. Please include the words evaporation, condensation and precipitation.

Spellings: Week 7 list.


We will be practicing our shading techniques, using different materials, and creating a class picture, using Van Gogh's 'Sunflowers' as inspiration.


We will be learning the French words for different instruments, and using the phrase 'je joue'.


We will be learning the song 'Dragon song'


This week, we'll be learning about the Water cycle and imagining what it would be like for a drop of water on its journey throughout the water cycle.


We will be practicing our typing skills, and writing a story (including pictures and sounds) on a raindrop's journey through the water cycle.


This week we will be writing non-chronological reports about an alien.

We will think about using ambitious vocabulary, subheadings, varied sentence starters and lots of exciting description to make our reports really effective.
