Huge apologies that the Accelerated   Reader link has been causing problems.    I have been told, on good authority, that it is now working   again.  All children were assessed on the   scheme last week and can now all take books out and complete the online   quizzes.  Log in details are below but   do shout if you need more information or are experiencing difficulties.

Thank you for your continued support.

Until next week,

Mrs Donoghue

We will be continuing with Laura’s   Star this week.  The children completed   a story map last week and chose keywords that they felt were appropriate to   the story.  The story map will be   divided into three sections this week, beginning, middle and end which will   help structure their writing and allow them to retell the story in three   parts.  They will also complete a   comprehension activity on Laura’s Star which is carried over from last   week.

We are still enjoying Sophie’s Snail, by Dick King-Smith at the end of the day.

Place Value continues to be our   focus this week and a range of activities have been planned to develop knowledge and enhance skills.    Activities include matching pairs, missing numbers and ordering   numbers (beyond 100) from smallest to largest.

In addition to the above, the children will be singing their tables with the help of Percy Parker (an online resource).

Religious Education

Harvest Festival at St Mary’s.  Everyone is welcome.

Did you know we now have our own   school prayer?  It was created by a some   children in our school and Caroline, Church Minister at St Mary’s and Mrs Omer.

Father God,

This is our school.

Let love flow.

Let the rooms be filled

with joy and happiness,

Let the outside be filled with fun and friendship.

Bless us all as we learn

With you Lord in all that we do.
