For week beginning: 6th January 2020

I hope you all had a super Christmas and New Year. I am sure the Spring Term will be full of lots of fun filled learning. Our topic this term is 'Fabulously Famous'. We will be learning about lots of individuals who have become well known for a wide variety of reasons both historically ie Rosa Parks or more recently ie Jamie Oliver ( linked to his school dinners campaign).

We are going to be writing about a journey. Returning home from a distant place. The children will be using description and writing about the emotuions they will be feeling and the trials they might encounter.

We will be spending the next couple of weeks lerning about money. Identifying coins and notes. Woring out money sums and word problems.

We will be begining our new topic this week. It is a introduction to physics, with a toys theme.

This week we will be working on saying what we got for christmas ( inclusing the size and the colour).

Before we start our new term of PE we will have a games lesson where the children play team sport that they create some of the rules and scoring system.

Our topic this term is 'Fabulously Famous'. We will be talking about famous people the children know of and discussing why those individuals became famous. We will discuss the importance of rembering certain individuals who have made a positive impact on the world we live in now. We will then listen to information on Rosa Parks and do some work linked to her.

We will be talking about appreciating the things that bring us joy and identifying ways to cope with the things that worry us. We will also be doing regular mindfulness activities each week.We
