I hope you had a lovely weekend. Here is our intended learning for the week.
We will be moving on to learning time. We will look at o’clock and half past times, and will begin sequencing different times
We will be learning about the spectacled bear, a species of bear that lives in Peru. We will be writing some facts about it and looking at what areas of Peru are like compared to Goudhurst.
We will be investigating the best material to use to make a catapult!
We will be revising different phonemes and their different spellings, and practise decoding both real and ‘alien’ words with these in.
We will continue our unit ‘Your Imagination’ and will begin to put our own performance together by singing the lyrics we wrote last week, using different instruments and singing in groups.
The children will continue their outdoor circuits lessons, and will be having a another tennis sample lesson.
We will practise using a mouse on different programmes.
Outdoor Learning Day
On Thursday it will be the school’s outdoor learning day! This will be a day like any other except that all the lessons will take place outside. There will be a special school-wide activity during the afternoon as well.
Teddy Bear's Picnic
On Friday, a letter went out with details on the Teddy Bear’s picnic that we will be having on Wednesday 23rd May. Please talk to me if you are unsure about what you have been requested to bring in. Also, if you have a picnic blanket that you are willing to lend, then please let me know! Thank you.
Forest School Clothing
Please could you check to see if you have any articles of forest school clothing at home that don’t belong to you, as some (named) clothes have gone missing! Thank you.
